Revealing Intent

Description

This is a lecture from the Cockroach University course “Event-Driven Architecture with Java”. In this lecture, students will learn how to ensure their events reveal their intent. We will discuss the difference between “generic” and “intent-revealing” events. We will learn how “intent-revealing” events can impact a downstream consumer’s ability to filter those events, how they can reduce unnecessary coupling, and how they can impact the size of the event.
