Event-Driven Architecture - Introduction

This is a lecture from the Cockroach University course “Event-Driven Architecture with Java”. In this lecture, students are introduced to some of the challenges of building modern “Cloud-Native” applications. We discuss building Event-Driven microservices, and introduce the dual-write problem. We finish by outlining some of the techniques we will learn in the course such as the Transactional Outbox and CockroachDB's Change Data Capture.
